Day 14- A picture of you and your family

Day 14- A picture of me and my family...  the two true loves of my life!

As for Day 13- I am sorry, but I am not going to share a letter to someone that hurt me recently. First of all I cannot say that anyone has hurt me recently. I keep my world rather protected in order to shield myself from that type of thing right now so that being said... all is well...:)! I have put my past hurts behind me and work diligently on forgiveness for those that cause me or anyone I care about harm.

Day 13- A letter to someone who has hurt you recently

Day 13- Wow, hmmm, this is a tall order! I am not sure that I am comfortable sharing a letter to someone that has hurt me recently with the rest of the world! I will have to ponder this today and get back to you later!

Day 12- How you found out about Blogger and why you made one...

Day 12 of the 30-Day Blogging Challenge... How I found out about Blogger was through my coworker Ashley and I created a blog upon the recommendation of my friend extraordinaire/coworker/trainer Art who requested that we all try blogging out for 30 days to see if was something we could become comfortable doing to help us with our businesses.

Personally, I have found it very rewarding internally to do this... it is almost therapeutic, like journaling! Anyhooo, have fun out there and i'll be speaking with you again tomorrow!

Peace, Sigrid

Day 08- Short Term Goals For This Month And Why... - October 25, 2010

Day 08- Short term goals for this month and why... Where shall I start?!!! One of my short-term goals for the next 30 days is to complete my taxes from previous years. I am working on getting my girls organized as well, so that home runs really smoothly and enables me to work efficiently. Another goal for the upcoming month is to complete the SDAR Orientation and the Buffini Seminar in Anaheim. My most daunting task is to finish getting organized with everything for work, including a newsletter, organizing and reconnecting with my business contacts, understanding and getting and all of my social networking in place and up and running properly, etc. in order for me to really focus on being productive at work! Phew, I do not know about you, but just writing all that "stuff" has me spinning...:)!!!

Hope you are all well and that any and all goals you have for the next 30 days comes to fruition for you... Peace, Sigrid

Day 2-The Meaning Behind Your Blog Name - October 19, 2010

Day 2 of my 30 day blog challenge... The topic today is the meaning behind my blog name...

My blog name is a quote from a famous poet named Robert Frost from his poem, "The Road Not Taken" that was published in 1916 in the collection Mountain Interval. I read and analyzed this poem when I was growing up and have often thought of the infamous words that I chose as my blog name. My whole life seems to have been a series of crossroads in which I inevitably found myself opting to travel down the road less traveled. This unbeaten path was not necessarily the popular, or the easy choice and has proven to have had many tumultuous times and challenging lessons attached to it, but I can honestly say that I would not change any of my choices up until this point. It has created the woman I am today and for that I am grateful... :)

Thanks again for taking the time to read my words... until tomorrow... Namaste!

So, my name is Sigrid Cottrell and here are 15 facts about myself. Whether or not they are interesting I will leave up to you to decide. In fact, should you so desire to comment on that I would love to hear your feedback. Thank you for reading!

1. I am the mother of two amazing children... Being part of their lives is hands down the best part of my everyday...
2. I am grateful for my family and my friends that know me and are there for me through the highs and lows of life. They have helped me pick up the pieces whenever I have fallen and always seem to be there no matter what!
3. I have the most amazing parents a daughter could ever wish for. I often wish that I can be even 1/10th as good as my own parents are to me to my own children.
4. I am a dirt pimp... better known as a Realtor to most. I love my job and find the rewards from it innumerable.
5. I love to exercise, preferably in the outdoors... There are so many different sports that I am a fan of, but in general, if it takes place outside then the chances are that I have tried it at some point and that I enjoy it. There is one exception; running... I am not quite sure why that is, but it is just a sport that I never seem to have taken to.
6. I am of Swedish descent. I grew up there on and off my whole life and I read, write, and speak the language.
7. I like to travel. Near or far I am always up for a field trip. I have seen many wonderful places and look forward to seeing many more
8. I consider integrity in myself mandatory, not an option.
9. I often ponder what is the meaning of life. I remember that the answer came to me when I gave birth to my oldest daughter... At that moment, the meaning of life for me was to give life.
10. I think San Diego is an amazing city that I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring for the past 15 months. I am looking forward to continue this quest for many moons to come.
11. I am an admirer of the arts and have always been attracted to the theater from Broadway to Cabaret's and musical dinner shows, the symphony, the ballet, the opera, rock and roll concerts, museums from the "Torture Museum" to the Ann Frank House Museum and the Van Gogh Museum (all located in Amsterdam), as well as the Guggenheim, or The Metropolitan Museum of Art, All Science Museums and Air & Space Museums...etc...
12. I am a huge Avalanche Ice Hockey fan as well as a FIFA World Cup Soccer fan.
13. I enjoy doing random acts of kindness for others. It makes me feel good!
14. I strive to live my life as the example, making good choices, in hopes that my children will have a good role model that they can admire and emulate as they blossom into young women.
15. I would like to find forgiveness in my heart for every person, including myself, and every situation that I have ever felt wronged in or have wronged another and in so doing learn the lesson that was meant for me... I believe in mankind and I believe in myself and I believe that one person can make a difference and that it only takes one person's vision, fortitude, and perseverance to change the world. I believe that doing so begins with the reflection of the man, woman or child in the mirror.

This concludes my very first day as a blogger... It is late and that is a lot of information.... I hope that my psycho babble touches someone somewhere... Thanks again for reading... Peace, Sigrid
